French Toast with Sliced Bananas

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup 
    Syrups, maple
  • 1 med 
    Bananas
  • 6 tbls 
    Yogurt, plain
  • 1/4 tsp 
    Vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp 
    Sugar, granulated
  • 1/2 cup 
    Egg substitute, frozen
  • 4 slice 
    Bread, wheat bran

Directions

1. In a small bowl, whisk together yogurt, vanilla, and sugar. Set aside.

2. Pour egg substitute into a shallow bowl and dip bread into egg substitute, coating both sides and absorbing all liquid.

3. Spray a large skillet with nonstick cooking spray and over medium heat, cook bread until browned on both sides.

4. Remove bread to a heated platter, cover, and keep warm.

5. In the same skillet, quickly cook banana slices until golden on each side.

6. Place 2 slices of bread on each serving plate and top evenly with yogurt mixture, banana slices, and syrup.
